Gifts from corporations and individuals have played a long and vital role in shaping our marvelous Missouri State Park System. Donations received during the past 80 years account for more than 60 percent of the land, buildings and artifacts that comprise the 83 parks and historic sites in the current system.

These gifts are well-placed. They help expand our attractive, safe and well-maintained Parks System. These donations help to preserve Missouri's beautiful natural areas and fragile ecosystems. They expand opportunities for healthy outdoor recreation and assist important environmental research, and the spread of outreach programs. And, they help preserve many of our historic and cultural treasures for future generations.
